Creativity & Rules
Being creative is part of who I am. I’ve sketched since a young age, I play various instruments and I do choreography jobs when they are offered to me. I love creating beautiful things!
But I also appreciate structure and enjoy solving problems by playing by the rules. Crossword puzzles can keep me occupied for hours! All kinds of number games steal me away from reality, and I can’t get enough of online escape games.
No wonder I ended up where I am today, working as a frontend developer. The perfect mix of esthetics and logic; how to programmatically make things beautiful and smoothly functioning.
Exploring our link to computers
When I got accepted into Information and Communication Technology at the Faculty of Engineering, Lund University, I hadn’t really thought about what I wanted to be when I’d grow up; I was just captured by the description on the website. They talked about the fast-paced technology development and the relationship between humans and computers. I thought to myself, “I want to be a part of that!”, without knowing in what capacity. In fact, I was confused (and honestly a bit frightened) when I first read the curriculum and realized I’d be taking programming classes.
During my years in Lund I fell in love with UX and design, and my fear of programming faded and turned into fascination. After I did my master thesis at Jayway, I applied for their trainee program, where the focus was web development. It was a perfect fit.
Now, as a consultant, Jayway lets me create my own path. And thanks to Jayway’s great focus on competence development and knowledge sharing it’s unavoidable to discover new and interesting technology!
There’s no place like home
Travel is one of my passions and I’m always in the mood for adventure! I just returned from a trip to Mexico where I spent a few weeks travelling, and am going to Cuba this spring, but even a short getaway satisfies my chronic wanderlust.
I was born in Uppsala, grew up in Gothenburg, lived abroad and moved to Lund to study. I recently moved to Malmö and consider it my home, even though I have no family nearby. When I get off at Triangeln train station after a long or short while away, I feel at peace.
