HONESTY IS A VIRTUE
Before I started university I hadn't coded a single line. I was more into music. I played bass in a hardcore band and ran my own studio. But I was always interested in solving problems and took a great interest in technology. While in school we met with several recruiters from different consulting companies. Jayway's appeal to me was that they stood out as more honest, it didn't feel like they were selling themselves.
ASK MORE QUESTIONS - LEARN MORE
After graduation I applied for their trainee program and was accepted. I worked four days a week with real assignments and had one day of education. Since the atmosphere here is really down to earth it was easy to ask questions. And since every question was met with enthusiasm and I got such knowledgeable answers I just kept asking more - and learned more.
CONSUMER ORIENTED SOLUTIONS
Generally I like working on consumer oriented solutions that I would use myself. It gives me a greater drive and motivation. Another thing that is good about Jayway is that you get to have an input about future assignments and they listen to your preferences.
FROM DRUMS TO BAKING BREAD
I wouldn't call myself a restless person but I tend to have periods where I take an intense interest in a certain thing. The last six months I've been into baking bread. Before that it was cycling and learning to play drums.
