Mentorship programs

Helping clients being more efficient.
We have successfully helped many customers working in a more efficient way. Our mentorship programs focus on improvements in architecture, design, processes and tools usage.

We usually perform a review of the client's current situation and propose an improvement program. Our mentors visit their clients on regular basis to assist in improvement activities, usually one day every week or every second week.

Example of improvements:

  • Setting up Continuous Integration environments with automation of builds, integration with source code control systems and issue tracking systems.
  • Test driven development with proper usage of unit tests, mocking strategies and code coverage tools.
  • Automation of integration tests with Selenium, DDSteps, Fit/Fitnesse.
  • Integration of unit tests and integration tests into the Continuous Integration engine.
  • Improving the setup of the IDE with i.e. plug-ins for refactoring, configurators.
  • Structural analysis of architecture and design with tools like Structure101™external link, opens in new window to decrease dependencies between components, resulting in a code base easier to maintain.
  • Improvements in the development process with influences from Scrum and XP.
  • Phasing out self-developed infrastructure and replacing it with industry standards, i.e. Spring, Hibernate, OSGi, Mule and CAS/SAML.
